One of the finest Hindustani classical vocalists of the present times Shweta Jhaveri has performed worldwide since her young age. Her mesmerizing voice and soulful improvisation express the colours of shruti-raga-invocation by preserving the North-Indian classical vocal traditions. A performer of Khayãl she also performs Thumri, Dhrupad, Bhajan and the Hindustani vocal forms.

Blessed to be trained by Mewati maestro Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj since her teenage she vocally accompanied her Guruji from 1987 till early-1990s being the inaugurating faculty of his premier foundation outside of India. In her 20s as the innovator of her pure-colourful microtonal contralto voice culture within the traditions termed as shwet-rangi by her colleague in India, she vocally accompanied her Guruji's concerts & innovative projects as a disciple, tour-performing alongside some of the revered legends such as Appa Jalgaonkar, Swapan Chaudhuri, Sultan khan, Zakir Hussain and Ravi Shankar. She taught her first vocal class at the Ali Akbar College of Music and was blessed to perform in the guidance of SwaraSamrãt Ali Akbar Khan.

With worldwide acclaimed concerts & recordings, extensively touring India-NorthAmerica-Europe and elsewhere by her age of 45, she performs in her fiftieth year in music. She has sung & composed Indian classical music for Films and dance-dramas such as her debut film BhagavadGita featured at swami Vivekananda's centenary, Panchavati, Mrig-nayani, Portrait of a self, Nar-Naari, Dance of the Wind, NavRasa, the Wisdom Tree and more. She has performed her raga-creations such as Nirmohi and KrishnaBhairavi.

Mostly performing Hindustani classical vocal music she also performed raga based world music under Cosmic Khayals. Preserving the Mewati tradition she also performs her Hindustani vocal music creation Saraswati bãni. Honoured to be a resident guest faculty for 10 years at the Ali Akbar College of Music she was a lead vocalist of the Maihar Symphony composed by musician legend Ali Akbar Khan. Residing in the San Francisco area and India since her 20s she has mentored students internationally. Instrumental to be the premier female classical vocalist from Gujarat to perform internationally, she is also regarded as the premier North-Indian classical vocalist to perform raga with western musicians. Her voice seeks harmony and peace through music.
